  • Congratulations to the Texas Tech University Saxophone Quartet (Matt Martinez Experience) -They've been accepted as finalists in the 2008 Coleman Chamber Music Competition in Pasadena, CA, and as semi-finalists in the Plowman Chamber Music Competition in Columbia, Missouri.

 

  • At TTU this spring, we have saxophone studio trips planned for the United States Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium in Washington, DC and the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference at The University of South Carolina. 

 

  • In Jan, I'll be on tour with Teresa LeVelle's piece for soprano saxophone and string quartet.  We're playing in California at Whittier College and Pepperdine University and in New York at Carnegie Hall. 

 

  • I'll be playing Benjamin Britten's Sinfonia da Requiem with the Dallas Symphony in Meyerson Hall, Feb 28 - Mar 1. 

 

  • In March I'm playing John Mackey's new soprano concerto with Sarah McKoin and the TTU Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
